We need both kinds of revelation. We need to take in the written word of God while seeking for the Holy Spirit to speak to our hearts and bring revelation of how that word applies to us. We need daily revelation to know what God is showing us.
We have often worn ourselves to a frazzle with last minute shopping, decorating, parties, buying gifts—and yes, assembling toys at midnight on Christmas Eve. Looking in the mirror reminds us regretfully of the second helpings and the bigger-than-average slices of pecan pie and other temptations we indulged in “just this once.”
…our spiritual walk does not have to be up and down like a roller coaster. Instead it can be a journey in which we grow spiritually stronger day by day and year by year.
As you trust God to work good out of your bad situation, you are watching to see how He will bless you as you go through this situation. That’s OK, but His timing and purposes may be much greater than that.
