Shadows have no substance. We can see shadows; some are really big and scary looking, others are small. However, they all have one thing in common. When you try to capture them, there’s nothing there. Death is like that. It doesn’t truly exist. It’s merely a shadow.

Remembering 9-11

I especially remember seeing the members of Congress gathered together and singing “God Bless America.” Political differences were laid aside. There was unity in the sung prayer, and it gave me hope that the 9-11 tragedy would result in a move toward God across our country.

In All Your Ways Acknowledge Him

I had walked out of our apartment, locked the door and descended two steps toward my assigned work for the day, when suddenly I remembered I had forgotten my work keys hanging on the wall inside the door. Any number of times this has happened before, and usually I would get angry over the inconvenience of having to unlock the door and retrieve my key ring.

Does God Have Wings?

A pick-up truck pulled out onto the opposite side of the road. When we have very hot, dry weather, as we have had lately, rain can bring the oils in the pavement to the surface. As the truck pulled out, it went into a spin on the road. It spun around 3 times before the driver could pull over.
